Hey girl!
I know you're thinking, huh? Did she really just ask that? Naranda, what kind of silly question is that? Yes, I trust God.
Yeah, I know that's a silly question. I knew your answer was going to be yes.
I know trusting God sounds easy, right?
Let's be honest! It's easy to trust God when things sound and look good. We walk around all day long bragging on God when we can see the victory. We will give God all the glory, honor, and praise when we see how he's moving.
Don't play girl! You know what I'm talking about it. I see you over there with a blank face.
Get excited!!
But what happens when trusting God makes you look foolish?
Huh, what you say?
That's not how God operates, Naranda!
Okay, if you say so!
But what if trusting God makes you look crazy?
I know you're thinking there's no such thing.
I hate to be the barrier of bad news but it is?
With knowing that, are you still willing to trust God? I know you're thinking God doesn't operate like that. Oh yes, he does! Think about it? God had Amos marry a prostitute in the bible.
I couldn't imagine the shame Amos must have felt. Although this situation looked and felt crazy, God used this very situation to bring glory to his name.
See here's the thing, it's easy to trust God when you see the light. But can you trust God when there's no light?
Can you trust God when doors close in your face? Can you trust God when everybody is laughing at you? Can you trust God when people turn their back on you? Can you trust God when people walk out of your life? Can you trust God when everybody is talking about you?
Will you trust God?
Trusting God isn't going to make sense to everybody else and that's okay.
I know in the beginning you had this image of what trusting God looked like.
But trusting God can look very different from what you visualize. We got to stop putting God in this box. Why do we manage to put this big God in a small box?
Lets's stop that! We can not predict God.
But I wanted to let somebody know today to continue to trust God. I don't care what it looks like, what it feels like, or what it sounds like, trust GOD!!
Though he slay me, yet will I trust him.
So the answer to my question is yes, God can be trusted.
God's plan is always better than ours. Although you may not understand his plan that's okay.
That is when you have to trust him.
God can always be trusted.
Let me say this before I leave. Be encouraged! Your trust in God is only a deposit for a bigger blessing in your life. You must walk by faith and not by sight.
Hold on to God's word.
